Industrial symbioses are an effective green growth model. It reduces production costs and increases competitiveness and growth potential.

But it takes time to create symbioses. It requires a lot of data, mutual trust between parties, new knowledge, a network and ongoing facilitation, and support.

Symbiosis Center Denmark has for many years developed a process that ensures solid and attractive symbiosis partnerships. We involve external partners in the process on an ongoing basis, but we are also able to hold hands during the whole process from beginning to end. – And we also keep up with all the detours that are found in every unique partnership process. We use our experience and our competences to create processes that build up long-term, value-creating partnerships. This is also the case between private and public operators, as the authorities and the publicly-owned utility companies often play a central role when symbioses are created.

Typically it is, however, resource-consuming companies that enter into industrial symbioses, and by doing so lessen their amount of waste and their material, energy or water consumption. But in order to find the right symbiosis partner and consolidate the symbiosis collaboration, there are a lot of processes that need to be gone through.
