On the 8th of May, 2018, Symbiosis Center Denmark received a delegation consisting of officials from UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and Vietnamese government officials led by Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Investment. As part of their study tour around Europe with the purpose of learning more about industrial symbioses and eco parks, the delegation arrived in Kalundborg to learn about the Kalundborg Symbiosis and its history with the purpose of helping Vietnam develop a greener industry which also increases growth in the country.

The visit started with a presentation of the history of the Kalundborg Symbiosis given by Per Møller (Head of department, Symbiosis Center Denmark) with following time for questions from the delegation. Afterwards the delegation was taken on a bus tour of the industrial zone, to help give the participants an idea of the proximity of the companies and the necessary infrastructure needed to maintain an industrial symbiosis of this scale. The bus tour ended at Novozymes facility, where Henning Pedersen (Novozymes) showed the delegation around the site, introduced important processes for the symbiosis and ended with a presentation of Novozymes' part in the symbiosis as well as goals for the future.

As customary in Vietnam, the Vice Minister brought gifts for both Per Møller and Henning Pedersen as gratitude for the visit. These and other pictures can be seen below:
